Tailored Book Recommendations (“TBR”) is a Subscription Service of Riot New Media Group, Inc. (“Riot New Media Group, Inc.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) that is available only through creation of a subscription account and payment of a fee. From time to time, we may offer gift cards (“Gift Cards”) for purchase that may be used to purchase subscriptions on mytbr.co. Purchase or use of Gift Cards are subject to these Gift Card Terms and Conditions (“Gift Card Terms”) and constitute a legally binding agreement made by and between us and you, the purchaser, recipient, or holder of a Gift Card (collectively, “you” and “your”).
BY PURCHASING, ACCESSING, REDEEMING, OR USING A GIFT CARD OR ANY ASSOCIATED CREDIT, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED TO BE BOUND BY THESE GIFT CARD TERMS, WHICH CONTAIN LIABILITY LIMITATIONS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE SO BOUND, YOU MAY NOT PURCHASE, ACCESS, REDEEM, OR USE ANY GIFT CARD OR ASSOCIATED CREDIT.
These Gift Card Terms are in addition to, and should be interpreted consistently with, any other agreements between you and Riot New Media Group, Inc.
TBR Gift Cards expire five (5) years from the issuance date (“Expiry Date”). There are no fees associated with use of a Gift Card, unless otherwise specified in connection with certain promotional gift cards. On the Expiry Date, the full value of the Gift Card shall be forfeited.
Gift Cards may only be used to purchase products and services on mytbr.co, and are not exchangeable for any other product or service. After purchase of a Gift Card, an electronic Gift Card code will be emailed to the designated recipient for use toward purchases on mytbr.co. Because TBR is a subscription-based platform, Gift Card recipients must be or become a TBR subscriber and agree to and comply with these Gift Card Terms.
Gift Cards are single-use. Once added to your TBR account (“Redeemed”), the Gift Card amount will be stored in your account as credit and will be automatically applied to your next purchase on mytbr.co. If used at checkout, the Gift Card amount will be applied to the total purchase amount at checkout and any remaining balance will be stored in your account as credit and will be automatically applied to future mytbr.co purchases. If the Gift Card holder’s purchase exceeds the amount of the Gift Card’s balance or available credit, the Gift Card holder must pay the difference.
Gift Cards may be purchased for variable amounts, as available. Gift Cards and associated credit cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law. Gift Cards and associated credit cannot be used for previous purchases or the purchase of Gift Cards. No credit card, credit line, overdraft protection, or deposit account is associated with your Gift Card or associated credit. Once Redeemed, Gift Card (and associated credit) cannot be assigned or transferred. Gift Cards are not reloadable.
IF LOST OR STOLEN, GIFT CARDS CANNOT BE REPLACED.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Cards. Risk of loss and title for Gift Cards passes to the purchaser upon transfer or electronic transmission to the recipient; for avoidance of doubt, such recipient may not always be you. Gift Card is void if copied, altered, transferred, purchased or sold.
You may not purchase Gift Cards in amounts exceeding $2,000 in any single day. We reserve the right to limit quantities of Gift Cards purchased by any person or entity and to cancel a Gift Card if we believe that the Gift Card was obtained through fraudulent or unauthorized means. We reserve the right to close accounts and/or request alternative forms of payment if a Gift Card is fraudulently obtained or used.
Purchases of Gift Cards are final and not refundable. We reserve the right to correct the balance of a Gift Card or any associated credit if we believe that a billing error has occurred, and we disclaim all liability for any such billing errors.
We may disclose to the purchaser of a Gift Card whether or not the recipient has redeemed the Gift Card. If the laws pertaining to Gift Cards require additional or different terms or conditions, then such terms and conditions shall apply.
From time to time, we may modify or revise these Gift Card Terms by posting such revisions through the Site. Revisions will become effective thirty (30) days after posting, and you agree to periodically review the Gift Card Terms to learn about these revisions.
From time to time we may offer limited availability promotional gift cards, credits, or codes that have different terms and conditions; please review those terms and conditions carefully as they may expire or have restrictions that are different than these Gift Card Terms.
